What is ischemic heart disease as it is related to agent orange exposure?

A1:  Yes. Ischemic heart disease is on the list of presumptive conditions for Agent Orange exposure. Veterans who develop ischemic heart disease and were exposed to Agent Orange or other herbicides during military service do not have to prove a connection between their disease and service to be eligible to receive VA health care and disability compensation. Ischemic heart disease is also known as coronary artery disease or "hardening of the arteries."   (AP)  12/10/16

A2:  The heart disease and diabetes fall under the agent orange presumptive diseases. I draw service connected disability on both. Proving exposure to AO may be a different challenge. Get hold of my VA claim attorney. These guys are fantastic. Their name is Bergman and Moore and their number is 301-986-0844 also info@vetlawyers.comYou owe it to yourself and the Feds owe it to you.  (TS)  12/10/16

A3:  IHD has been a compensable benefit since 2012 as the result of agent orange exposure. It was added to the list of recognizable diseases to agent orange exposure. IHD is basically an umbrella of a collective bunch of conditions of the heart. Proving exposure (boots on ground) is relatively simple. If the Vietnam service and campaign medals appear on your DD 214 that is all the proof needed. If in the Navy and your ship appears on the VA's list of ships exposed to agent orange whether because of being in any of the inland waters whether in the rivers or docked in harbor again this is proof enough to prove exposure.  (TVH)  12/10/16
